Bowser Automotive is seeking a Human Resources Manager who will be responsible for implementing HR policies and procedures and managing all aspects of employee relations and development for all Bowser properties. The Human Resources Manager will manage staffing and recruiting, organizational development, training, compensation and benefits administration as well as the EAP and Safety programs.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Implement human resource policies and procedures to meet business needs and ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure that all employees have up to date information (i.e. handbook, events, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws relating to employment
  • Collaborate with management and effectively address employee relations issues
  • Manage talent acquisition through termination for all locations of Bowser
  • Ensure all job descriptions are maintained and up to date
  • Create and facilitate training to meet organizational needs
  • Handle all collection letters and attend hearings as appropriate
  • Manage compensation and benefits plans (workers' comp., healthcare, etc.)
  • Provide and manage company-wide community and social committees to enhance organizational culture
  • Manage insurance issues relating to accidents involving Bowser vehicles
  • Ensure employee safety and wellness programs are ongoing and productive
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Education and Qualifications:

  • Degree in HR, business, education or related field.
  • 3+ years in HR
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office and appropriate HR Software (prior exp. in Paycom and/or CDK a plus)
  • Excellent written, verbal, non-verbal communication
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for up to 8 hours/day
  • Ability to work with computers for up to 8 hours/day
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
